There are a whole bunch of themes installed on UCalgaryBlogs.ca – it’s probably a little confusing if you want to change themes. Which theme to use? You’re free to use any theme (or request a new one if you find or build a great theme you want to use). But, of the themes available here, these are some of the best:
twenty ten
It’s the default for a reason – and includes some handy dandy instructions that show up on the page to help you customize your blog website and get up and running quickly.
CommentPress
Want to publish articles and allow people to comment on each individual paragraph? Yeah. CommentPress does that.
Cutline
Great for a class blog – customizable header image, clean design, and widgets in the sidebar. This theme also includes a Members page template and some other tweaks for really effective class blogs.
K2
Very good, clean theme. Customizable header, lots of extra bells and whistles. This theme is a workhorse.
Mandigo
Another flexible, powerful theme with a customizable header and great design.
Monotone
Perfect for photoblogs – even picks a background colour for a page directly from the image used in a post!
UCalgary D
Need your blog website to look official? We’ve got you covered.
Vertigo
A great, clean theme. Customizable, yet simple and powerful.
Visionary
A newspaper/magazine type of layout with customizable header image. Very clean, very effective.
