The front page of UCalgaryBlogs.ca has been bugging me for some time now. I mean, it looked nice, and it was shiny, but it’s pointed in the wrong direction. It’s almost entirely about UCalgaryBlogs.ca – and almost entirely NOT about YOU, YOUR blogs, and what YOU need to do with the site.

So I went through a redesign exercise, and decided to trim out the “marketing” fluff on the front page, and rearrange the remaining content to help promote content within the UCalgaryBlogs.ca blogs (i.e., YOUR content) and make it easier to get to your stuff.

Take it for a bit of a test drive at test.ucalgaryblogs.ca – I may not release it until the end of semester to prevent confusion. Feedback? Concerns? Ideas to make it better?
