New feature – content stats plugin

by D'Arcy Norman on October 22, 2008

I just added a new plugin for Rainer Knopff to use with his POLI students. It’s a stats plugin, called “WP-Stats” – but it’s not THAT type of stats plugin. It’s not about counting traffic, or pageviews, or visits. It’s about getting a feel for the activity within a site. Which members of a blog site have posted content? Which members have commented? It provides a whole BUNCH of stats and links to help track activity within the site.

All screenshots are from my own main blog, so as to not violate privacy of the activity within the course blogs here.

To use this new plugin, just go to the Plugins page of your blog site’s admin interface, and enable “WP-Stats” – it will add a new link near the top of your main Dashboard called, cryptically enough, “WP-Stats” which will show you the content and activity statistical info with links to posts and comments published by each member.
